Guide overview

This is a general template and not legal advice. Consider consulting a qualified attorney if unsure about your rights.

We respect intellectual property and other rights. This guide explains how rights holders can report content on KIRELAY they believe infringes their rights and how we may respond.

1. Scope

  • Complaints related to copyrighted works such as text, images, or other creative works.
  • Complaints related to trademarks, privacy, or rights of publicity.
  • We may reference copyright for simplicity, but similar processes can apply to other rights.

2. Before you submit a complaint

  • Confirm the content is actually infringing; some uses may be permitted by law.
  • Consider contacting the user directly if that could resolve the issue.
    • Disputes can sometimes be resolved faster by working with the user who posted the content.
  • Confirm KIRELAY is the right place to complain, especially if the content is hosted elsewhere.

3. How to submit an infringement notice

Include these details to help us process your complaint efficiently:

Send notices to the email below with a clear subject line such as “Infringement Notice – [Your Name / Organization]”.

  • Your contact details Full name, organization (if applicable), mailing address, email, and optionally phone number.
  • Identification of the work Description of the original work with links to authorized versions or evidence of your rights.
  • Location of the allegedly infringing content Provide URLs or specific locations of the content on KIRELAY and any helpful context to locate it.
  • Statement of your rights Confirm you are the rights holder or authorized to act on their behalf.
  • Good faith statement State that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the rights holder, their agent, or the law.
  • Accuracy statement Confirm the information is accurate and, if applicable, made under penalty of perjury that you are authorized.
  • Signature Provide a physical or electronic signature (typing your full name is typically acceptable for email submissions).
  • Email legal@Kirelay.app

4. What happens after you submit a notice

  • We review the complaint and may remove or disable access to the content and notify the user.
  • We may request additional information from either party if needed.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts of repeat infringers or take measures to prevent further infringement.
  • Incomplete or unclear notices may not receive a response.

5. Counter-notice (if your content is removed)

If your content was removed or disabled and you believe this was a mistake or you have the right to use the material, you may send a counter-notice containing:

Send counter-notices to legal@Kirelay.app with a subject such as “Counter-Notice – [Your Username]”. We will review and, where appropriate, may restore the content.

  • Your name, address, and contact information.
  • Identification of the removed content and its location on the service before removal.
  • A statement of good faith belief that the removal was a mistake or misidentification.
  • Any explanation or evidence supporting your position.
  • A statement consenting to share your counter-notice, including contact details, with the original complainant and authorities if necessary.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

6. Repeat infringers

  • We may terminate or restrict accounts subject to repeated or flagrant infringement notices.
  • We may also consider severity of violations and user behavior across the service.

7. Non-copyright complaints

  • Use in-service report tools where available.
    • Include a description of the issue, links or screenshots, and any helpful context.
  • Contact us at legal@Kirelay.app for privacy, harassment, defamation, or other policy concerns.

8. Changes to this guide

We may update this guide and adjust the “Last updated” date, with additional notices in the service when appropriate.
